We do not automatically collect any personal information from your device. All data remains stored locally on your device.

• To perform OCR (Optical Character Recognition) on your documents using Apple's Vision framework
• To enable search functionality within your stored records
• To facilitate backup and restore operations via JSON export

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Local Storage

All your data is stored locally on your device in the app's Documents directory using SwiftData. We do not transmit, upload, or store any of your personal health information on external servers or cloud services.

4.2 Data Security Measures

• Local-only storage with no cloud synchronization
• Single file size limit of 50MB to prevent performance issues
• No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs
• No advertising or data sharing for marketing purposes

4.3 Backup and Transfer

You can export your data as a JSON file to:

• Apple Files app for local backup
• Another device via AirDrop

You are responsible for securing any backup files you create.

5. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, share, or disclose your personal information to any third parties. The only exceptions are:

• With your explicit consent (e.g., when you choose to share records via AirDrop)
• As required by law or to protect our rights

6. Third-Party Services

zMedicalRecords uses the following Apple-provided frameworks:

• Vision Framework: For OCR text recognition. Processing occurs entirely on your device.
• SwiftData: For local database storage.
• UIDocumentBrowser / Files App: For importing and exporting documents.

These frameworks operate within Apple's ecosystem and do not transmit your data to external servers.

7. Data Retention

Your data is retained on your device for as long as you keep the app installed. When you delete records or uninstall the app, all associated data is permanently removed from your device. We recommend regularly backing up important medical records.

8. Children's Privacy

zMedicalRecords is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
